Tales Toolkit used by adults with additional learning needs

Tales Toolkit was used with adults with additional learning needs. This was the feedback we had from their teacher;

‘The student I was working with is one of our more able students in certain respects- he travels independently, has some reading skills and like spending time with staff and students- but really struggles with more abstract ideas like time and social etiquette. As such, I’ve always really struggled supporting him with creative writing in the past- he tends to get fixated on something else and tell that story rather than a story of his own.

The kit worked great in this respect as it gave him a focus and something physical to look at and touch without constraining his imagination. It also allowed me to reinforce the ideas he had already expressed which is an INCREDIBLE resource to have access to whilst working with adults with learning disabilities as they often need reminding on things that have been covered previously.’
